Advanced Technology
Digital X-rays
Drs. Kubasko and Lanzilotti choose carefully which and when x-rays are taken. There are many guidelines that we follow. X-rays allow us to see everything we cannot see with our own eyes. X-rays enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth and assess the health of the bone supporting your teeth. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.
Dental x-rays are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental x-rays is extremely minimal. Drs. Kubasko and Lanzilotti utilize digital x-ray technologies within our practice. With digital x-rays, exposure time is about 50 percent less when compared to traditional x-rays.
Digital imaging allows us to electronically store patient images, and enables us to quickly and easily transfer them to specialists or insurance companies expediting your care.
Intraoral Camera- Opening the window to your mouth.
In our office we use an intra-oral camera, which is an instrument that is not much different than a regular toothbrush only the end has tiny lights and a camera to take snap shots. We can share the images with our patients and from this devise a suitable treatment plan. Drs. Kubasko and Lanzilotti utilize Intraoral Camera technology to enhance your understanding of your diagnosis. With clear, defined, enlarged images, you can see the details that the dentist is seeing.
Intra oral cameras also enable our practice to save your images in our office computer system to provide a permanent record of treatments. These images can be printed for you, other dental specialists, or insurance companies facilitating your care.
